The player guide Racing & tricks

Sledding Game Racing and Tricks

Start a race at its flag marker with another participant, then follow the course to the finish. Racing is a finish-position task; tricks are a separate scoring activity during sledding. A large trick score alone does not establish a race win.

Steam PC. Community race instructions and the September 21, 2026 fixes are distinguished below; no fastest-run benchmark is claimed.

Start at the race flag

  1. Gather the participants

Arrange at least one other player if you are targeting Chicken Dinner. Its recorded condition is a win in a race with two or more people, including you.

  2. Interact at the start

MatthewLockedin describes a blue sphere at a race flag: use the interaction prompt to start/join with the other racer.

  3. Ride the course

The guide’s described race ends at the flag in front of the lodge. Use the markers belonging to your selected race rather than assuming every downhill path is an active course.

Race results and trick targets

Chicken Dinner concerns the race result. For the Duotone Seal variant, the unlock guide records winning 20 races while using the Dark Seal, each race with another participant. This is not a solo time trial.

The official game description also offers tricks and player-built ramps. Separate achievement conditions include staying airborne on a sled for ten consecutive seconds and reaching over 100 m/s. Read the visible time/speed feedback rather than equating points with either condition.

The sources do not establish a universally fastest sled. The sled comparison separates recorded player preferences from a controlled performance result.

Controls and conditions to check

  • Recorded PC sled toggle: Left Shift. Movement: W, A, S, D; jump: Space. Remapped bindings and the current input screen take precedence.
  • A mounted sled’s response and a walking jump are different contexts. Check the action prompt before trying to start or reset a run.
  • The September update fixed Sled Master tracking, far-away mounting teleportation and sled rotation while ragdolling. Use the updated build when diagnosing behaviour described in older videos.

Keep the controls table open for interaction and respawn-anchor bindings. If the HUD is pulsing during a hosted run, the connection guide explains the developer’s poor-connection indicator.
